West Africa is continuing its upward trend of rapid economic expansion, with anticipated GDP growth of 6.1% from the region
This consumption lead growth, amplified by year on year gains in FDI from both emerging and developed countries is generating opportunities and prosperity in all industry sectors. We joined the District Export Council of Virginia and Washington, DC, and the U.S. Commercial Service on this trade mission to forge new links within the booming West African marketplace, identify regional business partners and export opportunities for U.S products and services. We were impressed by the range of business opportunities across a wide variety of sectors, including information technology, environmental consultancy, professional services, industrial equipment, logistics, and infrastructure development.
